Sim-Perfection

Sim-Perfection is a competition born from the idea that your Safety Rating is as important as your iRating. It uses a different scoring system to the one used by iRacing and I would like to credit TomToday from TDI99 for this scoring system. You can download his F499 tracker from GitHub.

Background

In the Safety Ratings—a cure for the mayhem in online racing games? post published by iRacing in 2010, Dave Kaemmer describes the thought process that went behind the safety rating system. In that post he proposes that

The best way to learn is to find a balance between pushing yourself to go faster, and keeping your aggression under control, so you don’t crash too often. The iRacing safety rating, or SR, system is designed to give you some clues about how well you’re doing at finding that balance.
