The NodeMCUs in the HiveScientia system rely on WiFi to transmit their signal to the receiving MQTT server. Depending on the distances involved you may need to provide an external WiFi access point.
A little May 2022 update on what we are currently working on.
MQTT stands for Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (Right or wrong, for ease I pronounce it MUTT with a q-like emphasis on the U). We use this protocol to send messages between our nodes and base station.

The perfect nesting location for Bees will be one with thick thermally stable walls, small manageable entrances and higher levels of humidity than thin wall hives.
